Peter Beckett

Head of UK & International Marketing


Peter Beckett is Head of Marketing - Digital, Content & International at Schroders. In this role Peter has specific responsibility for the digital and content strategies for Schroders, areas which have been a core focus for marketing over the past couple of years. In his nearly 15 years at Schroders (in two stints) Peter has held a number of roles across the global marketing function focusing on the UK, Europe and most recently Asia Pacific. Peter has also worked at UBS Global Asset Management and KPMG Consulting in London, and State Insurance in New Zealand.

Michael Booth

Regulatory Director


Mike is a Regulatory Director within the Eversheds Regulatory Consulting practice. He has been working as a trusted advisor to investment firms for over 10 years and specialises in providing pragmatic and proportional ways for UK firms to comply with UK and European regulations. His experience has been gained through in-house and consulting roles, in addition to 14 months at the FCA where he worked within the team that provide guidance to the supervision teams for investment fund managers. Mike is a relationship manager for several investment managers across all asset classes and specialises in risk, compliance and governance projects.

In 2016 Mike was recognised in the Financial News Top 40 under 40 as a rising star in legal services.

Simon Hillenbrand

Simon Hillenbrand is Head of UK Retail at Henderson and has worked in the investment industry for more than 20 years. Prior to its acquisition by Henderson, Simon was managing director of UK retail sales at New Star Asset Management.

He began his career with Morgan Grenfell Asset Management before joining Invesco (latterly Invesco Perpetual) in 2000 where he was responsible for London-based discretionary clients. In 2002 he moved to New Star Asset Management to perform the same role and in 2007 became Managing Director of UK Retail Sales.

John Magrath

John is one of the partners at TwentyFour, having joined in February 2011 as Head of Distribution.

John has responsibility for the firm's Wholesale business, including Sales, Marketing and Communications.

Prior to joining TwentyFour John was in a senior sales role at F&C Investments/Thames River working primarily in the UK Retail market. John has over 27 years of financial services experience. He gained broad experience in asset management working in strategy, marketing, business development and operations for F&C Investments and RSA Investments.

Kira has been a journalist in the UK financial industry for almost 20 years. She is the former editor of Investment Week, judge of the Fund Manager of the Year awards, freelance journalist and co-founder of writing agency Elite Investment Communications. In 2013 Kira joined BNY Mellon IM, transforming the group's traditional investment communications team into an audience-led, in-house publishing unit.

Joe Parkin

Head of UK Wealth and Retail

iShares BlackRock

Joe Parkin is Head of UK Wealth and Retail at iShares, where he is responsible for the distribution of BlackRock's passive business in the UK. This involves sales and relationships with private banks, wealth managers, advisers, discretionary clients, D2C and adviser platforms, and digital clients. This includes the distribution of iShares ETFs, BlackRock Index Funds and BlackRock passive solutions.

Charlotte Povey

Head of Content Strategy


Charlotte is Head of Content Strategy at Barclays, which means her team is there to be the North Star for Barclays content. Charlotte and her Content Strategy team, create strategies for Barclays UK content that align business priorities and customer needs. They define the content themes, the structure, the tools, systems, people and processes needed to steer the Customer Engagement Team to achieve their vision of beautifully effective content. Charlotte launched the Barclays Editorial Board in 2014 across the Barclays group - this is an agile, omni- channel, content marketing strategy, which delivers seasonal and topical content centred around customer and client needs, while simultaneously supporting Barclays' key business objectives. James Whiteman
